LINKS

  • ADVFN -
       http://www.advfn.com
ADVFN provides you with up-to-date information on many shares and stocks, from financials to real-time quotes. You can also browse interesting bulletin boards, which are filled with (non-)sensible comments and suggestions, which you should always take with a pinch of salt.

  • Interactive Investors -
       http://www.iii.co.uk
Interactive Investors offers you more analysis than ADVFN and often more interesting information on markets as whole. It is also a very good source of information for shares.

  • Economic Calendar -
       http://www.fxstreet.com/fundamental/economic-calendar/
Economic calendars will show you important events and news from different economies, which usually greatly influence the currency markets. Watch out for the news when you're dabbling in currencies otherwise you might get caught out.

  • Bloomberg Economic Calendar -
       http://www.bloomberg.com/markets/ecalendar/index.html
The Bloomberg calendar offers you a bit more analysis than the abovementioned calendar, but focuses mainly on the US.

  • Google Finance -
       http://www.google.co.uk/finance
Google Finance is especially easy to use and very nicely designed. It gives you similar information as ADVFN and Interactive Investors. But try it out, maybe you will like that better.

  • Investopedia -
       http://www.investopedia.com/?viewed=1
The Investopedia is a great source for all sorts of business and investment related knowledge. You will not only find definitions there but also great tutorials and other useful info.
